The Highway Traffic Security Symposium in Turkey

The 5th Highway Traffic Security Symposium and the Exhibition dedicated to this event are ongoing from 21 to 23 May 2014 in Ankara (Turkey), at ATO Ankara Congress Centre.

 

The given Symposium is organized by the Turkish National Police of the MIA (Department of Traffic Services and the Police Academy) in cooperation with the Ministry of Transportation, Maritime and Communication (General Directorate of Highway Regulation and General Directorate of Highways).

The objective of the Symposium is to make a multidimensional analysis of highway traffic security issues by the relevant stakeholders and to develop solution suggestions through scientific evaluations.

There are delegations from 14 countries, other government agencies and universities of Turkey, private sector entities, trade union members, academicians, scientists and practitioners are participating in the Symposium, where they discuss scientific developments in highway traffic security.

At the Symposium the Republic of Tajikistan is represented by the Head of the MIA Traffic Department Major General Mahmadsaid Saidov, Assistant to the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Lieutenant Colonel Dovar Fathilloev, Police Reform National Liaison Officer Khaydar Mahmadiev and Counter Terrorism and Police Assistant of the OSCE Office in Tajikistan Umed Qurbonov.

As it is reported from the spot, during the sessions presentations on each and every dimension of the traffic were delivered especially covering the four component of the traffic security: control, training, engineering and first and emergency aid. Besides, services and products of government agencies, NGOs and transportation companies are going to be exhibited.
