OSCE donates office equipment to Tajikistan Interior Ministry’s press centre

The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe donated two modern desktop computers, two notebooks, one printer and one professional digital video camera to the press centre of Tajikistan’s Interior Ministry on 20 April 2018 in Dushanbe. 

Tajikistan’s Deputy Interior Minister, Major-General Umarzoda Ikrom, National Co-ordinator for Police Reform, Major General Farhodbek  Shodmonzoda, and Head of the Interior Ministry’s Administration, Colonel Mashrabzoda Jamshed Khol, as well as representatives of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe participated in the donation ceremony.

"I express my gratitude to the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe for providing this technical support to the Ministry, which will help  the press centre to raise public awareness about police reform in the country,”  said Major-General Ikrom.

"The donated equipment will help the press centre to produce audio-visual materials for local, national and international media aimed to promote the work of the police. Tajik society shows its great interest to public security issues and we will provide further support to the Interior Ministry for strengthening the police community relations and increasing the dialogue between the law enforcement and the public," said Dmitry Kaportsev, Counter Terrorism and Police Issues Advisor at the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe.
